A Group of Quail is Called a Covey
This is a tough painting to get a photo over as it is a yard long by 12 inches high. I hope this shot at least conveys the end result of this piece. Today was a hard day (the fun can't last) but I'm on the mend. Tomorrow will be better. Thanks for stopping by!

That's really impressive Michelle. I love the way you are using the papers.
ReplyDeleteoh, oh, oh!!! This is my favorite so far, again! Looooove these , they are adorable, and vibrant. They look a bit cocky to me, and I love that! The markings emit energy to me, if that makes sense. More, more, more!!
ReplyDeleteHugs to you Michelle....I hope you feel better.

I do hope you are on the mend. You are doing such incredible work. The little quails are one of my favorites. Used to live in a community called "Quailwood Estates" where covey of quails wandered everywhere. They are GORGEOUS! Donna
ReplyDeleteThis is a really fun piece. Love the quails. :)
ReplyDeleteI love that your beautiful quail have such personality! The colors are incredible--they seem to move in the breeze.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's great. I adore these cute birdies! And I really like the choice of colors as well :) Happy colors :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really loving your birds! This covey is wonderful! The fish is good too, but I'm loving the birds!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll tell more about the art show you're working toward at some point.
I also hope that you'll make some greeting cards or postcards from these beauties! I'd love to have a chance to own one someday.
Beautiful and fun!
Sharon
I love that you did such an odd-sized canvas for this week! I bought a circle canvas to create one of my our of the journal creations for next week.

ReplyDeleteI love these birds you're creating but this covey is the one that really stikes a chord with me.
