Stitched & Stenciled Part 2

Here's more scans of my project-in-progress, a little Asian-themed stitched and stenciled book. I built the imagery on the pages with acrylic paint washes, stencilling, collage, stamping, stitching and mark-making. There's a lot of serendipity involved in this book which makes for relaxing fun in the studio.

Oh Michelle, these are my new favorites!! I just looove the bottom right with the child, and the top left of the blossoms, but I love them all! The last few days I have tried some of this layering technique to create some pieces that seemed more serious (for lack of a better term right now), and I have failed miserably. Haven't found serendipity yet, but I'll keep on...with your inspiration!

It just keeps getting better and better! The cherry blossom branch is exquisite.

Each page is better than the last! Michelle, this is a veritable feast for the eyes! I love the way you've integrated the fabric and the image of the child. I'm enjoying your progress in this book immensely! Love & Hugs, Terri xoxo
